Scheduled screen shots from TV Tuner ?

Postby austinvlc » 03 Oct 2008 04:44

I found a thread on this forum for scheduling screen shots from the HTTP stream, however I need the source to be the TV tuner itself. Is there a nice command line option that would be able to do this?

I tried:
"c:\program files\videoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" vlc -I dummy --run-time=2 '--sout=#transcode{vcodec=mp1v,vb=2030,audio-sync,acodec=mpga,ab=192,channels=2}' -V image vlc://quit datename img000000.png

I got the following error when trying that though:

i was trying to figure out almost the same thing. here is a link to someone who was doing the same thing that you wanted, but from an HTTP stream:

im really not competent enough to give you any advice on how to change form an http stream to a video capture device, but everyting you have looks alright to my untrained eye.

try this:

"c:\program files\videoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" dshow:// :dshow-tuner-channel=24 :dshow-tuner-input=0 --dummy-quiet --run-time=2 -V image vlc://quit
