cannot enque

Postby pontypool » 19 Sep 2008 01:15

So i had one instance mode only checked. and then i checked "enque items when in one instance mode" but after saving and restarting video lan going back into preferences its unchecked again. and sure enough if i start another video it does not enque but plays it.

also like to add that it just plays that video even if NOT in one instance mode. so it should run it alongside the other video?
what is the problem here?

If the tickbox doesn't keep its selection, it is a bug.

Hi,
So i had one instance mode only checked. and then i checked "enque items when in one instance mode" but after saving and restarting video lan going back into preferences its unchecked again. and sure enough if i start another video it does not enque but plays it.
-if you check 'one instance mode only' running multiple time Start / Run / "C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" will open only 1 Media Player.
-I confirm that the box 'enqueue items when in one instance mode' is not working : e.g. check it close VLC, open VLC, see it unchecked.

a+, =)

I have a related enqueue problem. When you drag-and-drop into the playlist, it immediately starts playing - as if you had chosen "play with VLC", not "add to VLC playlist". I would expect this of a drop into the main window, but not into the playlist. Is there a way to change this behavior?

Well I can only speculate what it should do because it doesn't work. but i beleive when your in one instance mode if you try to run another viceo (double click it) then it goes into the que. obviously choosing one instance mode then choosing enque when in one instance mode doesn't work for myself and others. because the check wont remain.

To get enqueueing to work when in one instance mode I added the following line to the vlcrc config file. The vlcrc file is in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\vlc\

playlist-enqueue=1

I added it after one-instance=1.

OK, Thanx brucea. This problem is solved adding "playlist-enqueue=1" to vlcrc file, but you have to protect the file as read only because it is deleted next time you close VLC.
Could someone solve this problem in future versions?
Thanxs

Oh thank you... I can't believe I didn't think about that, lol... I've changed it before, and thought I was doing something wrong. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. I'd been using .8.6.i up until now because it wasn't working...
