VLC works fine on one computer, on other not

Hi, here on our college, we use VLC with enabled SAP announcements to recieve TV broadcast. Recently i discovered, that on some computers, it works perfectly, but on other computers VLC does not even load playlist.
All computers has the same settnigs. This happens more on Vista than on XP, but it happens on XP sometimes too.
I dind't figure out why is it so. I tried to turn off firewall and other stuff that coud block packets from going through, but it is still the same.
Any ideas?

View -> Messages might reveal more info. You could also try nightlies.

Unfortunately it stays empty. I will try nightlies then.

(I am one of users with this problem)

--- now I need a pointer - where fo I setup SAP in nightlies? They have different manu logic and I can not find it though I have activated SAP as playlist resource.

Show settings all option should make settings more 0.8.6 like.

Your SAP output is 100% valid? VLC 0.9.2 has more spec respecting SAP parsing so non valid stuff might cause issues.

But as you can see in pcap dump in SDP protocol field multicast server based on vlc 0.8.5...So, what should we do? Should we change server to a new version of vlc?

Either use old VLC, wait that someone patches current VLC with loosening option or update your server.

The other guy in my room has the same problem, strange... I will get soeone who got it workig with .8.6 try with new .9.2
