Maybe it's a usability thing and I'm just not getting it, but here's my problem (Vista Home Premium 32bit):
When playing a video in a normal window and then stopping it (pressing S), the video itself being closed and the standard, small VLC window is being displayed. However, when a video in full screen mode is being stopped, the small VLC window is gone and only the tray icon remains. Thus, in order to close the program, I need to go down to the system tray, right click and end the program, where otherwise a simply Alt-F4 or a click on the X would suffice. Also this way I cannot drag a new video into the window to play it.
I guess my two part question would be - is there a reason why VLC acts differently in this manner when in full screen mode than in normal window mode, and in case it is a feature I just don't get and not a bug, is there a way I can change that behavior?
I know how to turn off the tray icon, but that still keeps the program running nonetheless.
Thank You so much in advance for Your help!
Cheers!
