Got a trouble

Postby pennywis3 » 13 Sep 2008 16:04

hi, im a newbie on this staff.
Wmp is wrong playing my dvds, so i downloaded Vlc media player, but it plays bad too, the video and sound gets cut every half second, it is the same problem in Vlc and Windows media player, so i think they are using the same bad codec, but maybe i wrong. I do not know what to do. I downloaded many video codecs and nothing works. Please, if someone can helpme i'll be very thank you.

:P

VLC doesn't use system codecs. What VLC version are you using? How much RAM and CPU does your computer have?

Open a DVD in any Media player and note the system resources in your task manager then do the same thing with VLC.

CPU usage in VLC should be less than 2 or 3% in any modern machine. Background process could be part of the problem if you are running short on memory.

In HP DVD PLAYER cpu usage is 25% average
In Windows Media player and VLC is 70% Average

I still cannot play well with VLC

Thanks for your help
