rtp play H.264 video

I have two PC's running VLC on windows.
vlc.0.8.6i
One is streaming to the other with h.264 video using RTP, using MPEG TS encapsulation(can not choose other if using RTP)
but in another pc, I can't get the vlc to play the video. Why is this? It works if I stream in other format ,such as mpeg2,avi, mov,but I want to stream mpeg4 or h264

There have been some H.264 errors related to decoding and encoding. And there are some problems with nightlies too so I think ATM H.264 isn't usable. Other codecs should work.

But vlc can play the H.264 video.

It means I can not play the H.264 video using rtp ?

You can try nightlies, to see if they work any better.

I know this topic is a couple of months old. Is it still the case. I am getting a similar error.

Are there still some issues in playing RTP streams with H.264

If you get those same errors/warnings, then there isn't much you can do. I hope these get fixed in 1.0.0
