I have a file server that has my videos on it, and I'm using SMB to mount the file system on my Mac. When I play videos with VLC, I find that there is a fair amount of stuttering in the video and audio. I suspect that while the wireless LAN is fast enough on average, there may be interference that results in increased latency at times. I've looked through the preferences and I can't find an appropriate option. Is there a way to increase the amount of buffering in memory so I don't get these skips and stutters?
Thanks!
