VLC output to USB port???

Postby Alchemyst » 26 Aug 2008 19:48

I have a library of computer audio files that I wish to play wirelessly on my home stereo. I've found USB Bluetooth adapters for the PC I'm going to use as well as a Bluetooth receiver which will input into my stereo system.

My question then is VLC able to stream what it normally sends to speakers to a USB port?

I doubt that VLC cares about it being USB or hardwired in your system. As long as your device shows up as a sound card or has some kind of an IP address to send data to VLC should be able to use it.

So long as your Bluetooth device is a normal audio output driver, it will work. Select the right device in the audio output preferences.
