0.8.0-test1 and the Dreambox

Since so many people are asking about the Dreambox, here's what I have been able to do so far:

Point your browser to http://192.168.0.2/cgi-bin/streaminfo (switch for your dreambox ip). You shoud see something like:

Code: Select all

Name: SVT 1 Provider: unknown Service reference: 1:0:1:1388:7:56:320000:0:0:0: VPID: 1389h (5001d) APID: 138ah (5002d) PCRPID: 1389h (5001d) TPID: 138eh (5006d) TSID: 0007h ONID: 0056h SID: 1388h PMT: 1388h Video Format: 720x576 (4:3)
Start VLC and chose "Open network stream...". Check HTTP/FTP/MMS and type 192.168.0.2:31338/1389h,138ah into the empty field (again, switch for your ip). The two hexadecimal numbers at the end are the VPID and APID found above. This will give you picture, but no sound.

Please, if someone solves the sound problem, post a solution here!

It also works fine with 4:2:2 chroma feeds !!!

I wonder why the audio is not being passed through?

you can find the VPID/APID several places on the web interface as well as on the dreambox itself (well, tv screen) if you press info twice (fast) ..

Return to “VLC stream-output (sout)”
