VLC and uPnP-support

Postby fwtag » 10 Aug 2008 13:26

Dear All!

For several days I tried to (re)compile VLC for Mac OSX to support uPnP (as a client) but it doesn't seem to work anyway. I am an experienced hobbyist :-) in programming issues but do not have any further experiences in programming an compiling OSX apps. However after these days of trial and error and not getting VLC compiled I stop this and here is my question:

Is there any possibility to receive a compiled release of VLC including uPnP client capabilites? I would appreciate that because there is no serious alternative to VLC (expecially in my oppinion MediaCloud is none).

Thanks a lot for your response in advance
Frank

Hello
I'm very interested also to have a VCL version with the UPNP function enable.
Did you get one finally?
Cheers,
Yv
