audioscrobbler won't update

Hello,

I have tried to follow through the instructions in the other thread regarding issues with audioscrobbler not updating (viewtopic.php?f=14&t=42132). I am having similar issues, I enable scrobbling and enter my credentials, however nothing ever updates. When I enable verbosity 2 and look at Messages there is nothing in there about scrobbling... Is there another way to look for what failure is occurring? I am running 0.9.0-test3 Grishenko (the nightly from July 30th, 2008.)

Any further insight or help getting logging setup would be wonderful.

I have just noticed that when I quit the application, it makes a connection to last.fm, but my songs are still not posted. I have attempted to leave the Messages screen open the entire time, but even with verbosity at 2 it just doesn't seem to update.

Sorry to post so many times, but I downgraded to

vlc-git-intel-20080714-0049.zip 14-Jul-2008 00:52 19M

and the problem was resolved somewhat, it updated one track, however it did not scrobble the following tracks as VLC played through them.

I am quite lost.

I will go ahead and wait for a reply before trying anymore investigation myself.

Yes, that's what I would expect but they're not. Is there a way I can log to a file or something other than the Messages window which seems to not update? I really want to switch away from iTunes for my music.

I have updated to the latest nightly build and it has unfortunately not resolved the issue.

Anyone have any insight?
