Faster video transition

Postby christian79 » 30 Jul 2008 15:21

Hello everyone,

I got the following problem:

A users watches a video (V1). Depending on the user's input during V1 a new video is selected and appended to the playlist (after V1). (I use libvls to edit the playlist.)
At the end of V1 the new video ist played. (ok..normal playlist behavior :-) ) The content of the selectable videos intergrates seamless with the content of V1. The problem is that after each video a short but noticeable break appears.

Is there a way to speedup this transition? Perhaps by preloading the files or something like that?

Greetings
Christian

I afraid not much, except reducing the cache.
