Configure problem... no gdb option.

Postby caalip » 15 Jul 2008 03:10

Hi all,

I am working with the nightly from today. I tried configure with

Code: Select all

--enable-gdb
and also

Code: Select all

./configure --enable-gdb --disable-optimizations
Both ways gdb rejects the exe file.

I got the error message:
This GDB was configured as "i486-linux-gnu"...
"/home/reu_server/vlc/vlc": not in executable format: File format not recognized

If anyone has any idea what is going on I would be happy if you told me. I am in deep trouble if I can't get this thing working soon. I am so stuck, and need gdb.

I am using 0.9.0 with Ubuntu Hardy, and GNU gdb 6.8-debian

Thanks,
Grae

God Bless You.

the executable is ./src/vlc
./vlc is just a script to pass the good plugin path when you run from your builddir
