Subtitles split across 2 files

Hello all,

I have a movie that is split over 2 files, CD1.avi and CD2.avi. I have the correct subtiles but it is one file "subtitle.srt"
I have VLC Player showing these subtitles fine for CD1, how do I align these subtitles so that they will continue on for CD2.

Hello,

This is not currently directly possible with vlc.

One solution could be to delay subtitles by the total length of the first CD.

There are also free tools to change timestampings of subtitles and split subtitle files.
