Stream Pause/Restart?

Postby lbsa71 » 03 Jul 2008 10:43

Hi all,

I realize this is a newbie question, but I just can't seem to get 'pause' to work right in a network stream:

I'm on a Windows 2003 Server. I install and run VLC.

I'm using the wizard to set up a network stream, selecting a wmv film as stream.

I choose http streaming, and ogg encapsulation.

Now, everything works just fine, I can watch the movie from other computers.

Now my problem: If i 'pause' the network stream on the server, it will allow me to do so for 10 seconds or so, re-start works just fine.

But after 10 seconds, the client player just stops.

Is there anyway to do 'indefinitive pause' with a vlc setup?

Best Regards,
Stefan Andersson

No. The clients believe the stream is dead or timed out.
