Open command button... not for newbe

Hi to all. I'm newbe so excuse my ignorance. I'm using VLC 7.2 and I'd like to have the simple (e.g.: like MS mediaplayer) open command on the bar instead of the complicated default. Someone can help me? Sorry for my english.

We had to choose between putting only the "Simple open" button on the toolbar, only the "Advanced Open" or both.

We finally decided to put Advanced Open.

- Putting both would have been hard to understand and confusing
- Putting only simple would force many users that want advanced features.

Anyway, the simple open is still never more than two clicks away ( either "File", "Simple Open", or "Advanced Open", "Browse", so that should not really be harmful.

Thanks. If I've understood, at this moment there isn't an hide trick to change this two open mode one with the other. Ok, I've be quiet waiting for new option. Another time thanks to all, have a nice day.
