Strange behavior after installing my new TV card

Postby IceHand » 06 Oct 2004 00:49

Today I got my "WinFast TV2000 XP Expert"-TV card, installed it and was happy -- until I noticed that now vlc behaves really strange when I open a file through doubleclick. The buttons in vlc flickers for a short time but then nothing happens. I wondered why there was this flickering and opened the playlist and it looked like this:

It seems that the spaces in the absolute filepath are for some reason interpretet as wraps. When I have no spaces in the absolute filepath everything is fine.
As I said this only occurs when I open a file through doubleclick. Media Player Classic is affected by this phenomenon too (it says "File not found").

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? (Of course without deinstalling my TV card^^)

There is an error in you registry now.
VLC requires that when you open a file, it is wrapped with "".
Apparently for you it no longer does this.

You should try reinstalling VLC trough the installer.
