hello all
i´m running w2k in a new install without any dvd player, to run vlc player
for dvd playing, i´ve to create a aspi layer and install dvd decoder...
maybe this information is needfull for new users

hallo zusammen,
unter win2k in einer frischen installation ist es notwendig, um den vlc-player fuer dvd nutzen zu koennen, einen aspi layer und einen dvd decoder zu installieren, vielleicht hilft diese info anderen neuen usern

Hmmm, what exactly was the problem ?
I'm asking because VLC doesn't use the aspi layer on WinNT/2K/XP. It uses it only under Win9x/Me.

that´s funny :-)
maybe the dvd decoder (software) that i´ve installed use the aspi layer...
in my config the vlc and the dvd decoder can´t play dvds,
installing a aspi layer fixed the problem
