I have updated the vlc-player, to version 0.8.6h, and i would use, the "Screenshot-Function".
If I click on the "Screenshot" crash the VLC.
Yes, it still crashes after replacing libffmepg_plugin.dll with the one from 0.8.6f. I also tried the 0.8.6f version of libpng_plugin.dll (not that that would likely be the cause) - still crashed. Finally I tried it will all of the 0.8.6f plugins and it still crashed.even with ffmpeg from version f
That is what I did afterwards just to make sure the only 0.8.6f lib was libvlc.dll - it also worked fine.Argh...
Arite, would you be nice to test it with all plugins from 0.8.6h and libvlc.dll from f ?
OK, good to know - thanks for the info .Thxn for the report
Snapshot is fixed in the current 0.8.6-bugfix code and 0.8.6h final will be released shortly. Compared to the initial files that were briefly on the FTP server (which was not final) there are several enhancements:
* Fixed a regression in 0.8.6g where usage of the snapshot feature could lead to an unexpected application termination
* Miscellaneous bugfixes in multiple modules and in libvlc (ftp access, record access filter, video filters, RC interface, playlist demuxer, IP networking, MPJPEG muxer, stream outputs)
* Improved support for MPEG2 content created by Final Cut Pro
* More reliable audio reception for MPEG TS streams
* New Serbian translation
* Updated Romanian translation
Sometimes files are put on FTP to prepare synchronising with mirror FTP sites before a release. As always remember it isn't final until the announcements are made on the main site. In this case many websites blindly linked to and/or reported 0.8.6h final was out but that wasn't the case yet..
