Problem with 0.8.4f

Postby pacmania1982 » 02 Jun 2008 00:00

Hey:

I've just upgraded from 0.8.4d in the hope that the problem I am experiencing would go away, but it hasn't

The problem I have is this. When I press the pause play button on my Apple remote then press play again a few minutes later, iTunes starts playing (if it is open) and so does the VLC. I therefore have to go back to windowed mode, pause the video, switch to iTunes, pause or quit it, then go back to VLC, and continue playing the video file.

I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.3 (Intel), on my Core 2 Duo Mac mini.

Any advise would be appreciated

Not to sound like a butthole, but this one is simple to get by.

if your using VLC close iTunes, if your using iTunes close VLC.

i dont think there is any other way to do it cause that is what the remote is supose to do with iTunes open. maybe there needs to be something that blocks iTunes from receving the signal if VLC is open and selected, and if iTunes is selected allow the signal to operate iTunes but not VLC.

I'm just wondering why it worked before and all of a sudden it isn't doing what it used to. I've blasted out music from iTunes at 1am in the morning by accident as I've paused a video.
