Translation to VLC string

Postby Baudwalk » 11 Feb 2008 07:53

Are there any tutorials on how to pick out a feed or URL from a flash page to something that can be entered into VLC? Specifically, I like to listen to CHML http://www.900chml.com/ but in WinXP, the browser player window runs out of resources after a while. Despite 1 gb of RAM and only having the IE7 browser open the audio stops after 30-60 minutes and I usually have close and restart IE7. When I can figure out the URL and play audio or video from a streaming broadcaster with the VLC player, the audio/video plays virtually forever. I can't figure out the string for CHML. Can anyone help? TIA...

First of all this is totally the wrong section for posting this.

Secondly the address of the CHML stream is stored in the flash player at http://player.streamtheworld.com/CORUSE ... IGN=CHMLAM
I found a WMP stream at http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/asx/chmlam.asx but it seems to be disabled.

But with firefox 3 anyway I didn't experience any resource problems.
