Remote video snapshot

Unless there already is a way of doing snapshot other than via Hotkeys, it would be nice to have the ability to do snapshot command via RC or Telnet. Appreciate if you could add this feature.

Or is there a way around this ?

In 0.8.6 it's possible using the http interface. In 0.9.0, you can do it via the rc interface too (and luarc too).
