Does WinAmp work?

Postby Ohtarher » 26 Sep 2004 06:05

I've searched the forum, but I couldn't find anything on this... when I try viewing the VLC stream in WinAmp 5.05 it doesn't connect; I know it's not my IP or some network setting becuase I can view the streams just fine using WMP or VLC. I've tried all the different methods (HTTP, UDP, MMS, etc) and several combinations of the transcoding options, but nothing seems to work. What settings do I need to use in VLC in order to view the stream in WinAmp?

Thanks,
Ohtarher

Wrong forum, perhaps? You said you're doing fine with VLC and WMP viewing VLC streams, try a Winamp forum?

WinAmp don't understand VLC streams

Postby jbolivar » 02 Oct 2004 06:25

WinAmp don't understand VLC streams because it wasn't designed to understand UDP streams and it don't work fine using the http protocol because it don't understand the TCP stream that VLC send.
