I tried to install this on Windows Vista and found it needs .Net Framework 1, which is tough to install on Vista. How can I install this on Vista?

hello there, I just installed version 1.5 and got the same reported error when starting.

however, here are additional questions:

- is it possible to control DVD menu navigation with remote when playing ISO files?
- is it possible not to have the msg 'to run MCE it's required to use 32 Bit VGA resolution...' dialog?
- CPU load is 100% while I'm just browsing the files; the offending process is ehExtHost.exe.
- is it possibile to play in full-screen without double clicking with the mouse? I'd like to use the remote only.
- after some minute, the remote stops working with VLC. it keeps working with MCE once exited the plugin.

thank you for this plugin!

Thanks for developing this plugin. This is something that can make MCE useful for me. I keep all my music and movies on a NAS. I prefer storing the movies in iso format, but can't play those in MCE. Until now :-)

I have two questions/requests:
1. How can I navigate DVD menus using the remote control only (wife and kids will not use keyboard)
2. Is it possible to add a setting that will open the video in full screen when opening it.

I would gladly pay (PayPal 25$) if you could fix this.

The error message reported earlier on this list disappears if you install to E:\vlc086\
Seems it is hardcoded inside the plugin.

To start playing in full screen is easily done I will search for the code change it and send you the updated file.
Controlling the DVD with the remote is not as easy, maybe it could be done if I set the focus on the video and ignore the keypresses in MCE, but I don't know I have not much time lately.
About the paypal offer nice from you to offer this, but I will do it for free if I would have some time.

The full screen is coming your way.

I downloaded and installed on a Windows XP MCE system and got the missing dll error mentioned above. Is there a solution to fix this, or somewhere to download and manually install the dll?

Screenshots look good, but I need a fix to see it myself...

Thanks

Hi,

Does this plugin works with videolan 9.2 ?
Because at my home not :-(.
If i reduce mce, a message ehexthost.exe appear "... libz-1-2.dll is untraceable.

Thanks for your help

PS : Excuse my english i'm french !
PS : I use vista mce

EDIT : I confirm, it's don't work with the 9.2 version. With the 8.6 it's ok put apart an error at kickoff "Error : Get files failed Erroe : [object error]...". After, I can launch movies, but some blue appaear in the bottom of the screen when playing.

This plugin looks excellent...just the ticket.

I've tried installing, and unfortunately get the file cannot be found error others have reported on this forum (referring to a fixed e:\ drive mapping). I've clicked through this error however and all functions seem to work fine (such as file browse), but I can't play a selected movie. The file is there in the navigation window, but selecting ok/return/play has no effect.

Help please!!!!

does not work with windows 7 (64 bit), keeps on asking about installation of an outdated .net frameworks install.
