How to automatically split a saved stream while recording

I am recording live radio broadcasts to files. I would like to split the recorded files by some configurable parameter (file size or length in seconds). I read some references to such feature but could not find any documentation or anything in the UI.

Is there such feature or is there a plan to add such a feature in the near future?
