RTSP and client port settings, can this be fixed

Is there a way of setting the client_port when running RTSP, i am trying to access a stream from outside my network and i have added in port 554 into the NAT transaltion so i can connect to the server but i need to add the default port so the data will be passed to the client.

It seems every time i run VLC the port changes.

Or am i doing something fundamentally wrong.
