Problem recording a rtsp stream

Postby daveharry » 02 Apr 2008 18:37

Hi there,

I am trying to record the rtsp stream from an Axis241Q video server using the command below:

/usr/local/bin/vlc --stop-time=60 -vvv rtsp://10.0.0.50/mpeg4/1/media.amp --sout '#duplicate{dst=stdaccess=file,mux=mp4,dst="/file.avi"}}'

All seems great until I play the file back and my vlc mediaplayer thinks the file is 46 seconds long not 60 seconds.
It has the full minute of video but speeded up as if its dropping frames.

Does anyone know why this might be or know of a workaround?

Many thanks in advance,

Dave

it seems to be rather a playing issue, doesn't it ?

can you play this file with mplayer ?
