Mpd client support

Hi,

as VLC is totally universal media player for me, would it be possible to implement mpd support? I'm no programmer so I don't know how complicated it is. There are many mpd opensource clients ( http://mpd.wikia.com/wiki/Clients ). As I read there will probably be last.fm support ( jfyi: there already is opensource client https://garage.maemo.org/projects/vagalume/ ). These two features would make VLC even more universal.
