Odd crash

Hello,
New to forums, but I've been using VLC for a while now. Recently, VLC has been crashing when playing file types. As far as I know, nothing on the system has changed. I've installed the Cyrsis demo (really that's all I can think of.)

Basically it crashes when I try to play a video file. So far I've only tested .avi and .xvid (as these are the only two formats I have handy). Included is DxDiag (figure that should answer most questions about my system) and the VLC log. There are two events in the VLC log, the first one, I seeked in the video. The second time, I just let it crash. So far it seems to be a thing with the audio, I've googled but am unable to find a solution. I updated VLC (was previously using 0.8.6c) and am still getting the same error.

When I play the .avi (Enterprise - Broken Bow), a command line comes up:

Compiler did not align stack variables. Libavcodec has been miscomplied and may be very slow or crash. This is not a bug in libavcodec, but in the compiler. Do not report crashes to FFmpeg developers.
No accelerated IMDCT transform found

Hi j-b, it seems to have fixed VLC crashing, but I still get that complier error. Is that something that I can just ignore?

I am developing an application using JVLC..
I am getting this error while playing avi file....

[00000291] a52 decoder: A/52 channels:2 samplerate:48000 bitrate:192000
No accelerated IMDCT transform found

I kno suggestions are to ignore this error and the video and audio plays fine,,
But because of this error I am not able to access other functionalities for th video such as fetching t length and time of video at runtime..
So could you help me resolve this error..

so are you sure that is the reason?
