New skin in the works (with screenshot)

Hey everyone, first time poster here..

Pretty much this is my first time making an sort of skin ever for anything and I wanted to give it a crack. Ive done pretty much all the photoshopping for over selected, defualt buttons and everything so I jsut wanted to give you a preview of what may be coming in the next month or so.

This is basically what I had so far (all windows open)



Please keep in mind its a work in progress but I would like feedback and such on it. My main idea for this skin was to keep it as simple and slick as possible without sacrificing any of the major feature that I like in a skin.

So yeah what do you think so far?

I like the idea. I just found that the credits are too big.

Are you interested in fighting in a skin contest?

Thanks, the credits will not be there all the time, only there once the about the skin button is pushed.. this goes for the equalizer, playlist and additional menu aswell. The main window will the the minimal to keep and compact and neat and the video window will only show when there is a video or a dvd playing.. much like the original.

The main idea was simplicity.

Also what does this competetion entail?

The video output thing may prove to be a pain, as some of us have discovered. (Although a few skins have managed to do it, it seems.) If the VLC team wants more skins, they should at least give us a little more functionality to work with!
