CPU Usage with vlc 0.8.6d

I have an Vc++ application with many vlc activex streaming simultaneous. And the cpu usage grows constantly. Any idea about this?

Streaming and transcoding takes CPU.

yes but the cpu grows until 100% and the the server crash. I'm using a dual ceon server with 1gb ram and 300gb hd.
what can i do to fix this situation.

Maybe your application has some problem, but we can't guess...

maybe, but i run any instances of vlc player (0.8.6) and the same happened. And my application olny load the activex and do play nothing else.
when my application run without playing the activex controls not consume cpu usage, but whe i do play the players the cpu usage grow.

Hi all,

I'm using VLC 0.8.6d to play flash .flv file. When flv file playing in VLC player in the window (no other application launched in window), the cpu consumed was 550 MHz. when opened any appln e.g. IE page and VLC player playing in the background, CPU consumed was only 70 MHz. Why this difference is ?also how can we improve the cpu usage?

Your help would be appreciated.
