Thanks for the comment. Well it would really depend if skinning on which ever version is easy for me. Currently I'm looking at skinning APIs to make my life easy.

Looks very nice! Just one note concerning how far this is going to be realizable, as VLC does not yet support alpha transparency in skins you won't be able to use shadow or semi-transparent backgrounds :/

It is very good to me, especially it is a lot faster.
