Inststalling anew skin

Postby loninappleton » 24 Jan 2008 20:45

The notation on My Simple Skin says only for vlc .090.

I'm using Windows 2000 Pro.

Haven't seen a version 0.90

How do I get this skin working? The download went fine but control S does not give me
full control of the sizing factors and so forth. And VLC defaults to the old default skin that is on here.

Where are the preferences on vlc? They remain hard to locate.

VLC version: OVER 9000!!!
Operating System: It's...blue screen
Location: Heaven? No no. What's that other place that starts with an "H"? Oh yes: Home. ^_^

These skins work for 0.9.0 which is the upcoming version of VLC. There are nightly builds but I'm unsure as to how skins will work on them considering that the program is still in development and all.

I'll stick with the old for the time being.

Please make skins and defaults have an obvious button to access preferences. The cone thingie is pretty vague. other skins
like the default have no obvious button at all to access changes. control S isn't very intuitive either.

Someone could work on a skin with no or little white space at all for watching avi's. That's why the My Simple skin appealed to me.

I'm still struggling with this.

The My Simple Skin is downloaded and moved to the skins folder.

Requesting preferences etc reveals the words "2 Skins"

After that nothing.

The default bare screen loads like Foobar 2000.
