AVI playback appears to be working again, thx folks!

Actually, when playing a DVD, I get an "Assertion Error" in remap.c, Line 206, Expression: home
Then there is DrWatson coming up, saying the problem needs to be closed because of a problem in libdvdnav_plugin.dll, Offset 00012232
This is the case since I started testing around one month ago..

There seems to be a window sizing issue on startup for the Qt4 interface in the latest nightly build (starts the size of a ~1280x1024 screen) - not really an big issue though :).

I love the logo by the way :D - very festive:

Image

Reminds me of VLC 0.8.1337 ;).

The startup of VLC brings for me ever more "DLL Entrypoint not found" errors:

I dunno how its exactly called in english but windows complains before the VLC interface shows up:

23x Procedure-entrypoint "config_Duplicate" could not be found in the DLL "libvlc.dll"
4x Procedure-entrypoint "__block_New" could not be found in the DLL "libvlc.dll"
2x Procedure-entrypoint "_playlist_ItemNew" could not be found in the DLL "libvlc.dll"
1x Procedure-entrypoint "__update_New" could not be found in the DLL "libvlc.dll"

So I have to click away 30 error messages until I can use VLC... that plainly sucks.

Has the wxWidgets interface now been removed as an additional interface from 0.9.0-svn?

Hi!

I don't know if I am in the good topic, it's just in order to report a bug on the 0.8.6d release: when you choose the option "always ont op" and after that the option "full screen", a bug appears.

Congratulations for your software, it's the best in this domain!

It will be fixed when new contribs are built and used to compile the nightly builds.

Thanks, I will do this, and report back if/when the problem is resolved.

Cheers,
Ben
After discussing the SPDIF issue on vlc-devel, the faulty changeset that caused the problem was reverted, and the problem is now resolved in the latest nightlies.

Thanks,
Ben

For exemple, it's ok with 0.9.0_svn_20070917_0000

Sorry, In reality vlc-0.9.0-svn-20071220-0000 work, but not vlc-0.9.0-svn-20080102-0000 (only crash)

Wonderful, DVDs work again, thx a lot folks!

Another thing though: Has "Show Interface with mouse" ever worked? I can't quite get it to work, unfortunately.
Or might I post it in QT4 thread? Don't wanna cross post.

Hello
- I post 2 logs about a bug with vlc 0.9 (windows) and the dvb-t (TNT):
if i use ffplay(*) (playing a vidéo) and vlc (on a dvb-t program) all is ok, if i stop ffplay, i have a lot of TS error and the sound and image are very bad.
my logs:
. (no ffplay ) http://bricolodudule.site.voila.fr/priv ... ans_Dx.txt
. (ffplay playing) http://bricolodudule.site.voila.fr/priv ... vec_Dx.txt

(*) fflplay or wmp with ffdshow codec.

Another member:

Another member on vlc have the same problem: Lotesdelere

We use all a pinncale (or dazzle stick), but not the same model, (different graphic card; nvidia, ATI... on xp sp2).
_________________________

So it seems to be a DirectX/DirectShow problem.

This is using BDA, right ?

hmmm... Then I have no clue. I should ask kens.
Basically, if you use WMP in parallel, it works, so it means something locks/unlocks some DIrectX functions...

ok thank you :)
(ffplay "unlocks some DIrectX functions" too, and it "unlock better" than wmp, i don't why, (en français: ffplay "débloque" mieux encore (plus instatanément ) que wmp)).

Well, I just downloaded most recent build and it works again, sorry for that.
Or does it only work with DirectX? Because I had Default Output before.

It is working indeed. Strange thing, could've sworn it didn't work with latest build I used.
But, tell me one thing, is it supposed that it is reduced in size compared to the actual video?

I take it you mean taking video snapshots (not nightly snapshots :)).

The latest nightly build(s) have the default snapshot resolution set to 320x200. If you want to make it full size go to:
Settings >> Preferences...

And click, for "Show settings", on "All" (bottom-left corner). Then click on "Video" and in the "Snapshot" section change the "Video snapshot width" and "Video snapshot height" values to "0" (or another value if you like). Then press "Save".

The settings stay after restart too :) (before it reset to 320x200).

Cheers, Arite.
