WMV3 under win 98

[vlc-0.8.0]

Isn't it supposed to play WMV3 files under windows?
It seems it can't. It gives out a message saying:

"no suitable decoder module for fourcc `WMV3"


I have DirectX 9 installed.

This is just being added, Windows only, under the 0.8 release (there's a test version of it out now).
For it to work, you will have needed to install WMP 9, or otherwise obtained the Microsoft CODEC -- VLC doesn't include the CODEC in the release.
