VLC doesn't play some MPEG-1 files

Postby demodex » 10 Jan 2008 16:48

Hi, I'm getting problems with some mpg files downloaded from webpages. :(
When I open this files with other players, there's no problem :D . But I get Black Screen and no sound on VLC player.
I've got this problem under Windows Vista and Windows XP.

With MediaInfo I've got this description of the file:

General #0
Complete name : C:\Users\Rox\AppData\Local\Temp\1-11.mpg
Format : MPEG-1 Program
Format/Family : MPEG-1
File size : 1.15 MiB
PlayTime : 15s 33ms
Bit rate : 641 Kbps
Writing library : VideoChargePro(1.0.1.02)

Video #0
Codec : MPEG-1 Video
Codec settings/Matri : Standard
PlayTime : 15s 33ms
Bit rate : 560 Kbps
Bit rate mode : CBR
Width : 320 pixels
Height : 240 pixels
Aspect ratio : 4/3
Frame rate : 30.000 fps
Interlacement : Progressive
Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.243
Writing library : VideoChargePro(1.0.1.02)

Audio #0
Codec : MPEG-1 Audio layer 1
PlayTime : 14s 793ms
Bit rate : 64 Kbps
Bit rate mode : CBR
Channel(s) : 1 channel
Sampling rate : 32 KHz
Resolution : 16 bits
Video0 delay : 1193h

All the MPEG-1 files not viewed with VLC have VideoChargePro as Writing Library and 1193h of Video0 Delay.

In VLC i've got this messages:

Try to remux those files. TMPGenc and File -> MPEG Tools... and de-multiplex and after that multiplex and try to play them again.

Well, but I don't want to remux every video file I want to view.
I want to see them on the fly.
There is no problem viewing this files with Media Player, PowerDVD, Winamp, media center....only with VLC.

Could anyone help me?

Either ftp://streams.videolan.org/incoming/ or use service like rapidshare or megaupload.
