HTTP Interface (how to add a password protection)

Postby OwenBurnett » 25 Dec 2007 20:08

Hi,
is there any way to make the HTTP Interface secure?
So that only authorised users can access it?
Somethink like a password would be great

I know how to do a simple login page using PHP, however that wouldn't be much help unless you are hosting the index page on a web server supporting PHP.

JavaScript could be used. The best (very simple and insecure) JavaScript login I found after a quick search was:
http://www.houseofscripts.com/scripts/j ... elogin.htm

However the username and password can just be viewed in the source code so not particulary secure.

Arite.
