Nightly builds for MAC OSX Intel

NO more nightly builds for the Mac OS X for sometime now. Maybe it will come out with Leopard support.

Finally a nightly that works. It opena and plays a movie. I have not yet done a good test though.

I've tested it pretty thoroughly and it seems good.

BTW has a tivo plugin that plays both series 1 and 2 ty's.

I'm getting a spinning beach ball sometimes when I quit a movie in progress, which I've been force quitting out of. May be some interaction with Sofa Control since it seems to happen only when I'm using the remote control.

Me too I have the same problem. At times you have to force quit VLC even when not using the remote.

Nightly Builds work again, finally
But there are some problems i would like to mention.
1. VLC crashes by adding new files in the list.
2. Videopicture stops sometimes, when you press forward or backward.
3. The Interface shows sometimes the wrong timeline.

With the new builds I can command Q without VLC hanging. Nice!!

Got a new nightly for the OSX Intel. It is 77Mb. Vlc has become so huge from about 22MB.

The source (so to speak) of amusement, ajay, is that you're not looking at the application.

We included a newly developed framework within 2 of these nightly builds. It's removed again now, so the nightlies should be around 22MB again.

BTW: We've fixed various stuff in our codebase within the last week, so the nightly builds should be posted almost every night from now on.

We switched to Leopard to compile VLC. Right now, Leopard doesn't support FFmpeg. Yesterday, I committed a fix to make it work, but it will be dog-slow for now as it misses all CPU accelerations (SSE2, MMX). A full-speed version of FFmpeg on Leopard will be available early time next year.

Edit: the just published nightly build includes the slow version of FFmpeg.

Hi, for whatever reasons nothing appears when i try to run any of these new 11 to 13MB builds on my Tiger 10.4.11 iMac (20071220-0917 onwards)? The apps weigh in at approx half the size of previous versions? No problem with earlier builds. Thanks loads..and Happy New Year! Glad to see VLC going strong! michael

Have you tried to restart your mac, or just simply delete the old preferences before starting VLC? Old Playlists and old preferences data can cause this behavior on my machine....

I Have the same problem with latest VLC Nigtly builds, i tried to open the latest one, through clivlc and got this in terminal "Reason: Incompatible library version: VLC requires version 7.0.0 or later, but libiconv.2.dylib provides version 5.0.0" what should i do? Oh btw i use 10.4.11.
