Send to Lan full res and transcode to internet 4:2:0 and 4:2

Postby vlcdogs » 20 Dec 2007 05:19

Special need to stream ts to lan full res 6-12 meg w mpeg audio and maybe ac-3 and 500k h264 over internet.
Source video is 4:2:2 backhaul. North American.
Feed bandwith 6-12 megs. 720x480
Transportstream feed directly to vlc at 120.0.0.1

Need code for GUI not Commandline to get it up.

I have seen the code for command line except I have not got that down yet.

Internet is T1 1.5/1.5

Source is sattellite feeds NTSC 4:2:2 720x480 6-12 MBPS.

Is it possible Thanks...

Lan is set to the usual 192.169.1.xxx and internet is standard x0.169.137.xxx:12345

120.0.0.1 you mean 127.0.0.1?

Press Ctrl+N (File -> Open Network Stream) and then select your local stream, then tick Stream/Save and after it Setting... and choose proper streaming format. The problem with GUI is that you can't duplicate the stream with GUI so I suggest to use command-line (different port for LAN and internet outputs).
