Module shout.c for icecast how to have it on linux vlc

Postby airtek » 17 Dec 2007 18:28

Hi guys , I'm tryng to use vlc how source for icecast , but i'he a big trouble with the module shout .
I'm using debian 4.0 rc1 , and i try in more ways to install vlc:
I try with apt-get , but the module shot there isn't (for see the presence of this module i write vlc -l | grep shout and there isn't the line "access_output_shout IceCAST output")
If i try to compile vlc follow this how to http://wiki.videolan.org/UnixCompile or this http://musa.poperbu.net/index.php?optio ... g=en&id=29

I try to change in the shout.c in module/access_output the line #include <shout/shout.h> to this #include <shout.h> (I've see it here http://flossmanuals.net/VLC/StreamingIcecast )

But the module shout doens't work.
Always i insert --enable-shout when I compile Vlc.

There is a sure way to use this module.
I only want to have a vlc using from ssh that stream ogg to icecast or transconding avi (xvid) to theora and stream to icecast

Thansk a lot

BR :D

Return to “VLC stream-output (sout)”
