How do I set VLC to ascii output?

narvf got there before me :)!! I will post this anyway though.

Go to (in VLC):
Settings >> Preferences... >> Video >> Output modules

And then tick "Advanced options". From the "Video output module" drop down box select "Color ASCII art video output" and press "Save". Then play a video and you should get a separate window displaying colour ASCII art.
