Better Volume Control

Postby Doug_Fisher » 24 May 2007 15:07

I find the existing volume bar too short and awkward to use. A longer slider would be nice.

I agree with the original poster the volume bar for the windows platform is not very precise, and hard to adjust. Even though a small issue, it would be wonderful to see a new an improved volume bar on a future vlc release.

thank you

"0% - 100% slider" should be there instead of the "0% - 200% slider"

200% seems to be the appropriate sound level.... It's what I typically use.

200% ? this would result in distortion here in most cases ...

if i really need it louder, i use the big knob on my amplifier :)

I agree with the better volume control, at least in windows. The 0-200 is ok (and useful), but it's a bit too small to adjust with the mouse correctly.

I agree to... far too small.
Instead of changing the size of the volume control, what about a more precise control via the mouse wheel when the mouse is over the slide ?

Nothing redundant here, you can choose to change the volume by wheeling the mouse when the mouse is over the video or when the mouse is over slide only ;)
