I followed all instructions i can find on doing this as per the screenshot but
am unable to get this feature to work.Is there something i've overlooked?Thanks

Is your video output module definitely set to "DirectX video output"? It'll work only under that output module.

CloudStalker meant to ask what that other web browser thingy is in your signature. I know one of them is FireFox.

Yes,definetely ticked DirectX Video Output too,
i also removed any existing desktop background
& also ticked repeat box too.
I got it to work using something called injstar.com
but would like to just use VLC obviously...its the best!lol
Its very strange,i tried many different videos too.

Oh, the icon on my sig. is the old icon for Avant.
Its been updated since!
