Sure why not. I still have to find out why this isn't working for me because if it did I obviously wouldn't have requested it. I like the bold font style in mine more then the small white lettering I see when I do a mouse-over of the system tray icon. Oh well.

Small question j-b: is there a way to reverse the order in which the media info is displayed in the window border? Like instead of showing the artist first then the song title I want for the song title to be displayed first, maybe even the option to remove the artist. If this is not there already then consider this a request.

I finally found out what was preventing this option from working on my computer but now that it does work I see it still needs a little bit of tweaking. For one thing whenever you seek to a different place in a song/video and then let it play til the end the popup info won't appear nor does it appear when you click on the "Previous" or "Next" buttons. Well I like that it's somewhat working now.

I inadvertently disabled the taskbar popups somehow, once I re-enabled it VLC popup info worked, somewhat. I think the transparency should also go into the simple Preferences, I didn't find it for 10 whole minutes.

Hey j-b is a "Silent Startup" of VLC possible? Is it possible to apply this only to the first instance and not every instance? I wanted to know if I can add one instance in the "Startup" folder of Windows and have it automatically minimized to the system tray.

Better yet I could add a playlist in the "Startup" folder which will automatically start VLC and start playing items from the playlist while minimized in the tray. Anyway I just wanted to know.

Let's make VLC more like FireFox. The feature "Minimal view" once hid the tools menu but now it just makes the controls disappear. There's a nice plugin for FireFox that allows you to hide the tools menu until the "Alt" key is pressed. Would it be possible to add something like this o VLC?

There are some other options and plugins from FireFox that, when you think about it, could be applied to VLC. The "Customise" feature of Firefox (mentioned earlier) was just one of them, this of course is another one.

On windows ctrl+h hides the controls in the latest nightly builds, but the menu bar stays, it just kinda empties the controls section.

Ctrl-H removes the controls, the controls I want to see. I wanted to know if there could be an option that'll hide the menubar (Media, Playlist, Tools, ect) and then temporarily reveal the menubar when the user presses __ hotkey. It's not really a big deal I just wanted to know if this was possible.
