Long-term playing speed seems to slow down

Postby BrainLai » 04 Oct 2007 12:43

Dear all:

After long-term(several hours) playing, the playing picture looks broken and the mpeg4 video bitrate in media info window decreases.
Taking a look at the RTCP RR, I found that the loss fraction boomed and never declined.
On the contrary, Qucktime is OK without such a problem.

After more experiments, a temporary solution is to press the "play faster" once and then "play slower."
It seems that the playing speed slows down gradually over a long period of time so that the incoming packets are dropped.

BTW, the streaming server comes from a test program "testOnDemandRTSPServer" of live555.

Are there anyone getting into the same trouble?
Is there any official fix/patch available?
Or something I missed...

Regards
Brain Lai

Try with development versions.
