"Easy" Media Center interface

Wouldn't it be fairly simple to implement a simple media center interface? This mode would feature:

- Starts with fullscreen black, only visible object would be:
- Simple file browser that starts at predefined folder or volume (auto-updating)

User navigates with remote control or mouse.
For Mac version a setting to overide Front Row and instead start VLC in this mode, would be perfect.
Remote "Menu-click" during playback would bring up settings for subtitles and delays, a bit like Sofa Control (Mac app).

You might want to try the nightly builds (trunk), it is planned to add a full blown media library and tons of other additions of course.

The 'Start with fullscreen black' has been suggested a few times but no word on whether it's going to be implemented or not; we'll just have to wait and see.

I think i can make a Media Center plugin ... using the VLC player. Just controlling it with the remote.
