Double-Clicking local OGG files produces choppy audio

Hi,

I am new to VLC. I just installed 0.8.6.b on a Intel MacBook with Mac OS X 10.4.9 and Safari 3 beta. I also removed existing DivX and Flip4Mac.

Now playing an OGG Audio file works fine when I play the first OGG File after starting VLC, but:

When I double-Click another or the sam OGG File OR when I drag and drop an OGG File onto VLC, then audio playback is extremely choppy.

This is for OGG files from my local disk. When I drag and drop an MP3 from an USB drive to VLC it just works fine.

Of course when I reboot my System, then VLC plays another OGG file without any problems.

Have I done something wrong ?

i had the problem once of

nonstop, i have creative fatal1ty card so i changed audio modes from game to entertainment and that worked...
