No, I didn't try nightly builds. The OS is Windows XP SP2, the VLC version is 0.8.6c, and other specs are AMD Athlon XP 1500, ATI Radeon 9550, and 512 MB RAM. By the way, I've discovered two bugs while running on my current Vista operating system several days ago.
Here's the error reports:

Version.txt
AppCompat.txt

minidump.mdmp
These two files: msvcrt.dll and libvlc.dll, according to these reports from above, are possibly causing VLC to crash unexpectedly. I hope these two bugs (as well as the previous two) will be fixed in a future update.
