Distributions with kernel 2.6.x work fine. You wil need to modify a little in configuration scripts for libdvb and add extra flags to vls configure.

Tried Suse 9.1 & Redhat Fedora core 2 test 2.

Do avoid Fedora core 2 test 3 at the moment because it, among other things, include gcc 3.4.x which checks templates too strictly for current vls code. Also some issues with dlopen. And more not yet investigated.

I also would like to know what distro is recommended for VLS. I havnt used Linux all the much before so something that I dont have to mess around with changing stuff in the OS to get it work would probably be best. Any recommendations?

Thanks.
