Audio and Video in different multicast Streams

Postby kellysp » 13 Jul 2007 00:21

Does anyone know I can configure VLC to join two multicast streams in one VLC window? We have audio and video streaming in separate multicast groups.

Thanks
Shawn

Yes, the encoder we use will not allow the audio and video to be broadcast in the same multicast stream so we have to join both.
thanks

I'm not sure which method but I found a solution.
I just found a post detailing how to use VLC to view a stream from a Cisco IPTV encoder which is what we use. Once I created a sdf file using the schedule information VLC joined both multicast groups.

Thanks
Shawn
